COVID-19 Update

HOURS UPDATE – WE ARE NOW OPEN OUR NORMAL HOURS EFFECTIVE 5/11/2020

Dear Patient,

Thank you for choosing Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Carrollton for your healthcare needs.  It is our privilege to care for you during your time with us.

We are closely monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and we understand the fear and concern surrounding this outbreak, and we are committed to doing all we can to keep you healthy.  We continue to work with the State of Texas Health Officials, Denton County, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Our top priority, as always, is to deliver safe, high-quality care to you and all patients that we serve. We understand the value our facility provides as an important site of access for patients needing surgeries and pain management procedures in a controlled and safe environment, and we appreciate the trust you have placed in us.

As we work together to keep patients, visitors and our team’s safe, here’s what you can expect from us:

For the safety of our patients, we will not allow any visitors to come into the facility.  Your caregiver will be asked to wait in the car or return home during your stay at the facility.  The exception to this will be minor patients, one parent may accompany the patient.  We will contact your caregiver upon completion of your recovery and will provide them with your instructions for home care.  Once you arrive to our facility you will be greeted by one of our team members before you enter; they will ask you screening questions about your general health and take your temperature. You will be given a mask to wear the entire time you are at our facility. This screening process is mandatory for every person entering the facility.  Upon completion of the screening process you will be directed into the building to complete registration and begin your preoperative care.

You will notice that all of our team members will be wearing a mask and appropriate personal protective equipment as recommended by the CDC to protect you during your stay today.  You will notice in the lobby and clinical areas the need to maintain safe distancing of 6 feet away when not performing direct patient care.  In our operating rooms and across all patient care areas, we provide the highest level of cleaning and disinfecting by following guidelines from the CDC and the Association of Operating Room Nurse (AORN).

Please know that we have an unwavering commitment to the safety of our patients, visitors and team. Thank you for choosing our center to meet your healthcare needs.

Sincerely,

Meg Tomlinson, RN
